Easter Games, Craft and Garden Stay and Play

Looking for somewhere to keep the kids or grandkids entertained during the school holidays? Bring your play dates indoors with Hexham Community Centre.

Monday 8 - Friday 12 April, 10am until 2pm

We've set up a games room, there's table tennis and board games, two tables with LEGO and fun craft activities for families to use, come rain or shine! And for this holiday (weather permitting) we are getting out into the garden with loads of planting and painting to do to get the garden brightened up for Spring.

We ask for a suggested donation of £2 per child from those who can to help cover some of our costs. Juice and fruit will be available free of charge and more refreshments are available to buy from our tuck shop. Best suited for kids age 3-10 years, children must be accompanied by an adult.

We'll be open 10am until 2pm each day from Monday 8 April until Friday 12 April. Booking is not necessary, just drop in.

Can you help? We are looking for a few volunteers to help set up and staff the Stay and Plays.

This role would be perfect for someone looking for experience working with children or who enjoys working with families. responsibilities will include engaging with the families, selling items from the tuck shop, keeping the space tidy and potentially set up and pack down. A DBS check will be required but we will arrange that.

Stay and Play will be open 10am - 2pm, but any time you can spare within that would be a huge help. You are welcome to bring your own children with you.

If you think you could give us some time over half term then please contact Jill on manager@hexhamcommunitycentre.org
