Warm Welcome Coordinator

Temporary Post 1 December 2023 – 31 March 2024

14 hours per week at £13 per hour

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hexham Community Centre for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to play an important role in delivering and developing our charitable work, providing activity tackling the impact of the cost of living and social isolation in our community.

 

The Warm Welcome Coordinator will work alongside colleagues with decades of experience in delivering our charitable work, providing activities with a warm space, a warm meal and a warm welcome over the coming winter months.

 

Ideally a candidate will be available to deliver sessions at the following times each week - although this can be altered to suit candidate:

• Tuesday 2.30 – 5.30
• Friday 12.30 – 3.30
• Sunday 10.30 – 2

With their remaining time spent on development, evaluation and promotion of the programme by working with Centre Users, staff, trustees, stakeholders and outside agencies.

 

The ideal candidate will have an active interest in the community and issues facing older, vulnerable, and low-income members of the community. They will be creative, developing and delivering engaging activity. They will be an excellent communicator used to communicating with a wide range of people. They will be an enthusiastic advocate for the programme and the Centre.
