Luncheon Club on Wheels

Despite the country being in various lockdowns over the last year, we have managed to keep ourselves very busy indeed at Hexham Community Centre.

One of our main aims was to keep in touch with our older community and people who have had to cope on their own, due to Covid.
In normal circumstances we'd be running our Luncheon Club every Wednesday lunch time, but with current restrictions this simply couldn't happen.

In step our volunteers...

We're so proud to say that even a world pandemic can't stop our super hero team of volunteers! Stephen has been cooking up a storm every Wednesday since April 2020, making hot meals for our Meals-on-Wheels initiative. Then, our amazing gang of volunteers has been delivering the hot dinners throughout Hexham. Needless to say, we feel very lucky to have such a dedicated team to help us out.

We have also been very lucky to secure funding to keep the Meals on Wheels initiative going for 16 months, with grants from;
