Community Centre to screen Queen's funeral for those who would otherwise be alone

Hexham Community Centre to show Queen's funeral to allow members of the community to come together.
The Centre will screen footage of the funeral from 10am on Monday 19 September for those who might otherwise be watching alone

Hexham Community Centre will not be open as normal on Monday 19 September, however we will open at 10am to provide somewhere for members of our community to come together to pay their respects and watch the funeral of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

We will be screening the BBC coverage of the funeral procession and service in a supportive space for those who would otherwise be watching alone.

Here are the timings for the day as we understand them:

10.44am: The procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey begins

11.00am: Service in Westminster Abbey

11.55am: Last Post and 2-minute silence

12.15pm: Funeral Procession to Wellington Arch

1.00pm: Arrival at Wellington Arch, coffin transferred to hearse for journey to Windsor Castle.

We will stop the screening when the procession reaches Wellington Arch at 1pm. The Community Centre will be closed for the rest of the day, reopening on Tuesday 20 September.
