Celebrate together
What's On
Coronation Party
Saturday 6 May 2023
10.30am - 3.00pm

One of the most enduring images of the last coronation was that of communities coming together to watch the ceremony in local places, picture houses or neighbour's homes. We think this coronation is a timely reminder of the importance of coming together, to make special memories and tackle social isolation.
Thanks to funding from Northumberland County Council's Coronation Fund we are delighted to be hosting a Coronation Party at Hexham Community Centre for those who would like to watch and celebrate the coronation in the company of others.
We will be screening the BBC footage of the big day from 10.30am (ceremony starts at 11am). We'll be serving a buffet lunch from 12-2pm.
We anticipate the service will end at around 2pm and then the procession back to the Palace for the presentation on the balcony will finish at around 3pm.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free of charge, but numbers are limited to 50 guests, so please book in advance by calling 01434 602707 or email info@hexhamcommunitycentre.org
